Bluesolar – Chemistry (pre-release review)

Some months back, Darren from Digital Insomnia Recordings set me up with a reviewer account, so I could give my thoughts on the work his artists/producers were creating. This is mainly due to Ben Hunt’s recommendation, which I thank him greatly for. So, without further ado… the review.

Artist: Bluesolar
Track: Chemistry

Bluesolar – Chemistry (Original Mix)

Beautiful. I have two times I listen to this track; in my car, and when I’m working. It’s a great tune for highway driving, and for coding. I suppose it would also be great for any type of distance training too; running, biking, cross country skiing, etc. A solid track from start to finish. Be ready for this guy.

Bluesolar – Chemistry (CJ Peeton Remix)

CJ Peeton hasn’t really impressed me… until now. Previous remixes have been sort of ‘ho-hum’ in my eyes. This one isn’t the best, but it’s by far the best one I’ve heard from him. He changed the tempo and brought the melody in a lot sooner than the original. This is what got me interested right away. There are a few parts where the beat goes a little over/feels out of sync (~1:40 through ~1:53) but I still really like this remix. Love the use of the piano keys.

Bluesolar – Chemistry (Talemus Remix)

FAST! Right out of the gate… amazing. Any DJ with this in his/her set list is going to get a good response. There is so much energy in this track. It’s amazing. Amazing! That’s three times [amazing] huh? If you’re going to buy single tracks from this release; get this one. You WILL NOT be disappointed, and neither will your listeners.

Bluesolar – Chemistry (Soren Andrews Club Remix)

This track is flat out, fucking awesome. It’s my pick for top remix. It’s the kind of thing you can listen to in a dark room, by yourself,  and have it really take you places. I’m not talking about like drugs take you places, (“drugs are bad, mmmkay?”) no, I’m talking about actually getting lost in the music. I hate using ‘euphoric’ to describe anything, but the meat and potatoes of this track are just that. Definitely the sexiest track in this release.

Bluesolar – Chemistry (Divine Groove Agents Recut & Paste Mix)

Divine Grooves (Darren and Ben) did a pretty good job on this. It flows a bit like House music, and I love it. They’ve made use of the original’s best parts– I suppose that’s why it’s called the “Recut and Paste Mix” huh? There really aren’t any parts of this mix that I don’t like. This is also one of the tracks in my ‘work’ play list. Totally motivating.

How would I rank these? (1-5, 1 being the best)

  1. Soren Andrews
  2. Talemus
  3. Divine Groove Agents
  4. CJ Peeton
  5. Original
